A graduate of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Binutu co-founded Cruefilms, an independent production company where she has since produced stories for the Smithsonian Institute, Under Armour, the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, in addition to the pilot episode for HIDDEN IN FULL VIEW which (at the time of this writing) is in development. When she isn’t producing, Katrina can be found strength training at the gym or enjoying local eateries that often lead her back to the gym.

A first-generation Indian American, I was born in New Jersey and grew up in West Virginia, where I participated in many theatrical and singing productions. During my college tenure, I made a bold and rash decision to not follow in the footsteps of my stepsisters and become a doctor, I obtained my master's and went on to Washington D.C. to become a research scientist which slowly killed my soul. Friends of mine had started a video production company and brought me on to help with the client management. I am a lifetime writer, community theater actor, and business sales & operations professional going all-in to embark on a new career in film. After home-schooling myself on the film industry and screenwriting over the last few years, I'm excited to jump in fully and see how this story unfolds. My goal is to learn all aspects of film production, while continuing to sharpen my skills as a screenwriter and develop my portfolio.
