Hi, my name is Alex Dew. I graduated from the American Film Institute in 2015, with a Masters in Fine Arts in Film Producing. I worked as a producer for a few years ,and I am now an Assistant Professor of Film and Digital Media at Harford Community College. I still do my creative producing work on the side -- my production company, Dewhart Pictures, is currrently developing a miniseries.

I love storytelling, I work in Voice Over often and have my own professional studio broadcast quality & Source Connect. I worked as a humanitarian clown for 14 years. Have worked as a production assistant, casting assistant, manger's assistant, an associate producer and a 2nd AD for crew over the years as well. I love being on set. 

Hello all,I am excited to be rejoining WIFV! After finishing film school at American University years ago, I participated in film festivals, and worked in television briefly. Happy to say that I have resumed writing and am currently in the research phase of a recently finished script. I plan to begin production in 2023.  In addition to being a Writer, I have experience as a Director, Producer, Set/Props Designer, Location Finder and have a Voice Over reel.  

As a recent graduate of the Producing Film, Television & Video M.A. program at American University, I am actively seeking primarily Associate Producer and Production Assistant roles in the film & television industry.I have also dedicated time toward interning as a freelance script specialist for the Los Angeles-based production company, Josephson Entertainment. I am a freelance writer who worked in the film industry in the past. After a career in gender-based violence prevention and intervention in higher education, I have resumed working as a freelance writer (and consultant on Title IX issues).
