About Me

I’m Brenda Bastian, a first-generation Latina who studied literature and film at UCLA and fell in love with the power of storytelling. Today, I’m a multimedia journalist passionate about advocacy scriptwriting and turning complex issues into compelling, human-centered narratives.

I’m especially interested in creating films that use historical fiction to shed light on social issues, as well as psychological horror that explores identity, perception, and power. I’m excited to connect with fellow creatives and grow into a filmmaker whose work challenges audiences and inspires action.
