Im local Maryland Native who mainly works freelance as a Camera Assistant and as a Director of Photography. I have also had a hand in producing short films as well as coporate shoots in the DMV. I am eager to work with collaborative, passionate and kind filmmakers who loves making film as much as I do. Who sees the beauty in filmmaking and is geniune and whom have a strong work ethic. Alissa McKay is cinematographer based in Northern Virginia. She is a graduate of George Mason University with a BA in Film and Video Studies and a Minor in Music Technology Her main works include music videos, narrative fiction films, and documentaries. Other notable experience includes work in broadcast as a sports videographer. She has a passion for the art of cinematography and is always trying to find the best ways to capture human emotion, experience, and other feelings through the camera lens. She is always looking for opportunities to put that passsion to use.

Hi all—I am a recent college graduate interested in assisting on narrative, documentary, and commercial shoots to learn the ins and outs of filmmaking. I have a background in fine art photography, sound, and an interest in lighting—and hope to work as a DP one day!

Im a native to the DMV and current resident of The Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington DC. I've been working in the film and video industry since 2018 when I got my degree in Film and Video Studies. I freelanced in the camera department and worked in camera rentals up until summer 2024 when I left my role as manager at DC Camera and went full time as a DP in the DC area. I have worked on a variety of projects and am currently working on a documentary about the history of DC's underground dance music scene with a focus on how it has provided spaces for marginalized communities.
