My name is Ayana. I host a podcast called a Fresh Breath Of TV covering TV and Film. I have an associates degree in Digital Media Design and bachelor's in Electronic Media and Film from Towson University as well as a certification in Television Production. I am currently working on a short film with the Woman in film Frederick Maryland chapter for the 72 hour film festival.

I am working on my first documentary, about the history and influence of LOOK magazine, which was the subject of my most recent book. I am a former New York Times reporter who has also worked in the federal government, international organizations, think tanks, and nonprofits. I have done extensive freelance writing and published six books. I currently teach in the Honors College at George Mason University.
